Loco-art by Region

Loco-art is excited to be expanding into different regions as of February 2022. Initially Loco-art.com was dedicated to supporting artists and art related businesses in the Ottawa, Ontario region but with family in two other art communities and the freedom of retirement we’ve decided to expand our horizons.

So with that said we’d welcome artist from the following regions.

Ottawa Ontario Area

This is our main site, in the future we’ll be adding filters to allow other regional experiences of finding artists, venues, exhibitions and resources in specific areas.

Fergus and Elora Ontario Area

Fergus and Elora have been known as art hotspots for as long we’re been visiting the area. I’ve family here and there are several artists in that family that have now spread to the Niagara and Belleville regions. But, in fact Elora was the initial inspiration for loco-art.com as we wandered the streets and local galleries. It is therefore fitting that the Elora and Fergus area is the first area that loco-art is exploring how to help the local art scene beyond our home base in Ottawa.

We’re starting our exploration with and Elora and Fergus area directory of artists and venues.

Niagara on the Lake Ontario Area

Niagara on the Lake is another art hotspot we’ve frequently enjoyed on our travels. We honeymooned in Niagara on the Lake and basked in the wonderful region enjoying wine and fine art. It may have been here that we developed a routine of annually touring wineries and socializing with local artists as our favorite way to vacation. Having family in the area takes the whole experience up a notch and to take it to the next level these family members are among the most prolific artists in the family.

Belleville and the Bay of Quinte

By now you’re probably getting familiar with what makes us happy. Family first, art second and if you can throw in some wineries there is no telling how long we may hang around. With a wonderful family artists who treats us like royalty and a region filed with art and wine Belleville and the Bay of Quinte are definitely on our list of communities where we hope to support local artists and art venues.

If you’re interested in having other areas represented or just having a personal gallery on loco-art.com feel free to email kelly@loco-art.com with the details.
